Is Your Refrigerator Running?

Because this one sure was! Water from the ice maker in the refrigerator was leaking out onto the floor, into the drywall, where capillary action carried the water up and into the cabinets. The owner was delighted with the final outcome!

The lifetime of all hoses and gaskets for appliances is usually under 6 years. Flooding damage like this is a good reminder to check and inspect all water connected appliance. 

It is good to mark on your home calendar every 90 days to do a maintenance check on your home appliances. Checking for damaged hoses,cords or signs of water.
